Rempang City Development

The Rempang area falls under the administration of BP Batam and the Batam City Government. To foster Batam’s development as an industrial hub, the government established the Batam Authority, formalized through Presidential Decree Number 41 of 1973. This decree granted the Batam Authority, later rebranded as the Batam Concession Agency (BP Batam) in 2007, the management rights over all land on Batam Island.

BP Batam is a central government institution established under Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 46 of 2007. It holds the responsibility and authority to manage, develop, and promote the area in line with its designated functions. Additionally, in compliance with Presidential Decree Number 28 dated June 19, 1992, the industrial area of Batam Island was expanded to encompass Rempang and Galang Islands.

Rempang Island is situated in the Riau Islands Province, encompassing both land and water. Consequently, it is designated as a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Batam City, as outlined in the Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation Number 46 of 2007. The Rempang region has a strategic location, only 25 kilometers from Batam City Center and approximately 70 kilometers from Singapore.

Under the directive of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Number 7 of 2023, Rempang Island has been designated an integral part of the National Strategic Project. This initiative is aimed at meeting the requirements of downstream programs and promises outstanding connectivity through a multimodal transportation network, interconnected deep-sea ports, the use of renewable energy as a power source, streamlined one-stop utility services, and expedited construction permitting

Sustainability

As the world aims to pursue greener energy alternatives, solar energy and specifically solar farms, the solar power panels are rapidly becoming mainstream alternative energy components in the world. Rempang Eco City is aiming to create a greener environment by building a friendly estate development.

While the actual manufacturing process of a solar panel does require the use of greenhouse gasses, a solar panel will not emit any pollution during its lifetime. The sun holds enormous promise as a clean and dependable way to power our world in renewable energy, increase value of energy-efficiency, pollution-free and reduced carbon emission

Strategy

By building a solar photovoltaic industry (power generator & manufacturer) in Rempang, we are invested in ensuring that solar is a sustainable solution to climate change, a catalyst to the development of a greener Indonesia as well as widening Indonesia’s exposure to access green funds and initiatives.
