Rempang City Development
The Rempang Island area falls under the joint administration of BP Batam and the Batam City Government. To accelerate Batam’s development as a leading industrial hub, the Indonesian government established the Batam Authority in 1973 through Presidential Decree Number 41. This decree granted the Authority, later rebranded as the Batam Concession Agency (BP Batam) in 2007, management rights over all land on Batam Island.
